Steps

   The list is step 1 of the manual and the gate scenario never opens it — it reaches the contract by id. This is also where a drafted contract nobody locked would have to be noticed, which is stall 1.

5. 5 Venue Manager Read what the venue changed from the master template 0:33 ▣

   `require_staff`. A manager reads the redline history so the agreement is not a black box to the person who has to run the night.

6. 6 Venue Manager The same manager cannot lock or sign it 0:40 ▣

   Reading and executing are different powers, enforced at the route and not by hiding a button — a hidden button is a decoration, and this call skips the page entirely.

7. 7 Venue Manager Offstage: the signing link, as the host received it 0:42

9. 9 Guest The host opens a link that has expired 0:51 ▣

   'This signing link has expired — contact the venue.' Told to somebody whose only relationship with the venue is this email. Checked while the signature is still owed, which is when it matters: once they have signed, the same page keeps showing their status even on a dead token — the receipt outliving the link is the right call and is asserted below.

    This step was written when the card had no way on; [[plan/146]] built one and the step guards it now. The heading is kept because the sentence a host used to be left with is the point of the guard.

11. 11 Guest Offstage: the signing link, as the host received it 0:54

    Signed out on purpose: the single-use token authorises this page, not a session.

13. 13 Guest Type the legal name instead of drawing 0:59

    The typed name is checked against the legal name captured at intake — a signature is not a free-text box.

15. 15 Guest They reopen the same link to see where it stands 1:03 ▣

    The manual's step 7 — 'check where the agreement stands without pestering anyone'. A waiting party with a self-serve answer generates no chase traffic, which is the cheapest receipt there is.

16. 16 Guest Offstage: the venue counter-signs, which seals the agreement 1:10
17. 17 Guest The same link is now their executed copy 1:13 ▣

    No new link, no login, no navigation: the host returns to the link they already had, exactly as the previous screen told them to. This is why the sealed copy needs no route of its own in the host's nav.
