Steps

  1. Convert to Draft Event creates an event AND grants the applicant the host role. Until this plan the only explanation was the confirm dialog, which arrives after you have decided.

  2. Three sentences, in order: what it does, what it changes that cannot be undone, and what to do instead if that is not what you want.

  3. Closes on Escape and on a second press. Nothing traps focus and nothing depends on a pointer.

  4. 411px is the owner's own phone. Hover does not exist here, which is why a title= tooltip would have been a non-fix rather than a fix.

  5. Hover-only help does not exist for a keyboard any more than for a finger. Focus it and press Enter.
