It posted to /api/events/{id}/status — a route that never existed — and passed every test for a month, because every test called the API the template did not.
Its form pointed at a route that does not exist; JS intercepting the button was the only thing hiding it — a loaded gun with the safety on. It now posts to the real endpoint, so the no-JS path issues the card too.
