Steps

  1. "Again another check box that need to be a button with highlights when selected." A lone boolean has no set to be a card in, so it is a named two-state button — the second shape, and the only second one.

  2. The control itself highlights — that is the whole of the owner's rule: 'highlight the div to show it's selected'. It also says On in words, because colour is never the only signal.

  3. Reachable, ringed, and Space flips it. This is why the rule says opacity and nothing else: the other three ways of hiding a control each remove a piece of it.

  4. Every rider clause is a card now. The page's own JS still finds its hooks — .rider-opt and .rider-label ride along as extra classes rather than being re-implemented beside the family.
