   The readiness panel and the buttons come from the same publish_readiness call — what it says and what it lets you press cannot disagree.

   This form posted to /status with field 'status'; the route is /transition reading 'to_status'. Two mistakes, the second hidden behind the first — and no test pressed the button until now.

   Announced events publish from the Lifecycle panel — a second door onto the SAME state machine as the API path, never a parallel implementation.
